Murals.ng is seeking a High Custodian — our first Human Resource guardian and builder of culture. Every Muralist begins as a Foundling 🪶, earning their armor through service and dedication. This role grows into Apprentice II ⚔️, Apprentice III ⚔️, or Champion 🛡️ based on performance.

the role

As our High Custodian, you will be the guardian of our people, our systems, and our spirit. You will design and maintain the structures that make the Murals.ng clan thrive, recruitment, training, culture, and operational rhythm.

Every new member of Murals.ng begins as a Foundling, earning their armor through dedication and delivery. This role follows the same path, with opportunities for advancement to Apprentice Level II , Apprentice Level III, or Champion, depending on performance, experience level, leadership skills, and mastery of the role.

The High Custodian is central to our human ecosystem, responsible for facilitating the recruitment of Muralists, managing performance, and maintaining alignment between our creed and our daily operations.

core responsibilities

People & Culture

  • Lead and oversee the recruitment of new Muralists across guilds (Design, Production, Marketing, Operations).
  • Manage performance tracking, evaluations, and advancement through our internal hierarchy (Foundling → Apprentice → Champion).
  • Build and uphold HR systems that reflect Murals.ng’s values, structure, and growth.
  • Guide onboarding, mentorship, and personal development programs for all team members.

Performance Management

  • Implement systems for accountability, growth tracking, and feedback.
  • Work closely with department heads to assess performance and ensure each guild meets its operational and creative goals.
  • Maintain documentation, records, and progress reports for all team members.

Operations & Administration

  • Support scheduling, documentation, and workflow optimization across departments.
  • Oversee contracts, compensation records, and team structure updates.
  • Collaborate with the Navigators (Operations Guild) to ensure seamless internal coordination and process clarity.

Culture & Wellbeing

  • Protect the wellbeing and morale of every Muralist.
  • Champion the company’s five pillars: Precision (Sword), Prestige (Crown), Wisdom (Staff), Innovation (War Drum), and Sustainability (Shrine).
  • Organize events that strengthen team unity and reinforce Murals.ng’s mission.

Qualifications

  • Organized, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Interest in art, design, or creative industries.
  • Proficient in HR, operations, or administrative tools (Google Workspace, Notion, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and embody the creed of Murals.ng.

Bonus

  • Familiarity with Nigerian labor practices or startup environments.
  • Experience in people management or recruitment.

compensation and growth

  • Level: Foundling 🍼 to Champion 🛡️ (depending on experience and performance)
  • Compensation: Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses
  • Growth Path: Foundling → Apprentice II (Custodian) → Apprentice III or Champion (High Custodian)
