Leopards don’t hesitate. They move with a quiet certainty, each step deliberate, each moment perfectly timed. That sense of controlled power was what I set out to capture in Hunter’s Poise.
This piece builds on ideas I explored in Sisters of the Sun, but through a different lens. While that series was about radiance and divine femininity, this is about precision, patience, and quiet dominance. The leopard commands its environment instead of just being a part of it. Every muscle is coiled, every step measured, its golden coat dissolving into the jungle’s fractured light. It is both seen and unseen, a perfect contradiction of presence and concealment. But the eyes refuse to hide. They lock onto you, unwavering, unshaken. There is no uncertainty in them, no second-guessing. Only intention.
I wanted this piece to embody a different kind of strength—the kind that doesn’t announce itself, but is impossible to ignore. True confidence isn’t loud or performative. It doesn’t seek validation.
